In Japanese, it means "universal life energy." Practiced around the world, Reiki is a hands-on alternative healing technique that involves the exchange of energy between practitioner and patient to restore mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual balance. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Reiki sessions consist of one or more practitioners placing their hands on or above your body for a period of time in order to pass life force energy to you.  Reiki can be used to treat a specific area, or to improve the strength of your entire energy system.  Reiki is an energetic form of love, therefore it cannot hurt you.  During a session you may feel sensations of warmth, cold, tingling, or you may feel nothing at all.  Everyone’s experience with Reiki is different.

We practice and teach Insight Reiki.  Insight Reiki is a beautiful form of Reiki that was developed right here at Healing Hands by Kristi Brower.  Insight focuses on the body's energy system, working with Auras and Chakras.  As Reiki practictioners, we rely on our intuition to help you in every way that we can.   

Reiki can also be sent to you at any distance.  Distance Reiki sessions last 15-30 minutes depending on your needs, this kin of healing is done on special situations. Please contact us for details.
